SC-VoLTE M3 – 4G VoLTE Analogue Phone Line Interface Gateway
Key Technical Features & Capabilities
- Cellular Infrastructure: 4G LTE communication (Bands: B1, B3, B5, B7, B8, B20) with 2G GSM fallback (B3, B8).
- Analogue Line Simulation: Complete PSTN line simulation (48V line voltage, 25mA loop current, 130Vp-p ring voltage, 440Hz dial tone).
- Call Handling: Outgoing dial processing (minimum 3-digit dialing) and incoming call routing.
- In-Call Remote Output Control: Relay activation via DTMF keypad commands during active call sessions (Key 1: ON, Key 2: OFF).
- Alarm Input Signaling: 1 contact input (NO/NC selectable) generating instant SMS and voice calls.
- Remote Management: Configuration and diagnostics support via web platform or local Mini-USB connection.
Operating Principles
1. PSTN-to-VoLTE Gateway Mode
- Role: Full analogue telephone line replacement for voice transmission.
- Outgoing Calls: Decodes DTMF digits (minimum 3 digits) from connected analogue equipment and dials out via cellular network.
- Incoming Calls: Receives inbound cellular calls and generates 130Vp-p ring voltage to ring attached telephone devices.
- Modulation Restriction: Incompatible with CSD (Circuit Switched Data) and FSK frequency-shift keying modem data transmissions.
2. Alarm Signaling & Output Control Mode
- Input Alarm Dispatch: Triggering the contact input to -DC negative supply sends customized SMS texts and places voice calls to up to 4 numbers.
- Call Acknowledgment (Ack): Voice dialing repeats until the recipient answers and inputs any keypad button to acknowledge.
- DTMF Output Switching: Pressing keypad button 1 turns the output relay ON; pressing button 2 turns the output relay OFF during an active call.
- SMS Forwarding: Automatic routing of carrier network messages (e.g., SIM balance updates) to designated recipient.
Hardware Connections & Status LEDs
- DC+ / DC- Terminals: 10–30 V DC power input connection.
- IN Terminal: Alarm contact input (triggers upon connection to -DC ground).
- OUT Terminal: Relay contact switching output (switches to -DC ground).
- TIP / RING Terminals: Emulated PSTN telephone line output for terminal devices.
- SIM Slot: Mini-SIM (2FF) holder.
- SMA Connector: Antenna interface port.
- Mini-B USB Port: Connection for PC configuration utility.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is manual configuration necessary for simple line replacement?
No. If used strictly as a PSTN-to-VoLTE voice line replacement and the SIM card has no active PIN code, the device works plug-and-play without initial setup.
Can connected analogue equipment receive incoming calls?
Yes. The gateway handles both outbound dialing and inbound calls, generating standard ring voltage (130Vp-p) to ring connected telephone devices.
How is the relay output controlled during a voice call?
During an active call session, pressing key 1 on the phone dial pad energizes the relay output, while pressing key 2 de-energizes it.
What SIM card format and carrier service are required?
Requires a 2FF Mini-SIM card. The SIM subscription must support VoLTE voice calling functionality.
Can old dial-up security panels or FSK modems work with this unit?
No. Data communications requiring CSD (Circuit Switched Data) or FSK modulation cannot be transmitted through the voice channel.
How are audio transmission levels adjusted?
Audio gain profiles can be configured via PC software under General Settings (Low volume = 0dBm, Normal volume = 3dBm, High volume = 6dBm).
