VoLTE intercoms and gate control devices
A VoLTE intercom or gate control device lets a resident answer a visitor's call and open a gate, garage door, or entrance from a smartphone or an ordinary phone call, using a 4G VoLTE, WiFi, or dual-network connection instead of a wired-only panel. Du-Pol's range covers multi-apartment and single-entrance doorphones plus WiFi and 4G gate controllers built to replace intercoms that only run on 2G.
What is a 4G VoLTE intercom?
A 4G VoLTE intercom calls the resident's own mobile or landline number directly when a visitor presses the button, the same way any phone call connects, rather than routing through an app server. UP200 VoLTE M2 and UP200 VoLTE RD M2 work on any carrier's SIM across 2G, 3G, or 4G networks, so residents keep answering the door the way they always have even after a site's 2G connection is retired. TITAN 4G calls out over VoLTE only, without depending on WiFi or a third-party server.
Which device fits a single entrance vs. a shared entrance?
- UP200 VoLTE RD M2 — one pushbutton, one entrance (houses, small offices, individual units).
- UP200 VoLTE M2 — 1-2 pushbuttons, multi-apartment or shared entrances, each button with a primary and backup number.
- TITAN 4G — standalone VoLTE-only intercom, vandal-resistant housing, solar-power option, for remote or unattended sites.
Which device opens a gate without a SIM card?
- DP Door-I — WiFi-only garage door and gate opener, unlimited app users, no SIM or monthly fee.
- DP Door 300 — WiFi gate control for up to 300 users, scheduled access windows, open-too-long alarms.
- DP Door W4G — WiFi + 4G LTE dual connectivity, manages 2 gates and up to 1,000 users.
How does phone-based gate access work?
On the UP200 VoLTE models, up to 100 phone numbers can be pre-authorized to open a gate with a free call — the device recognizes the caller ID and triggers the door strike or relay without answering the call or charging the caller. No app or SMS command is needed.
FAQ
Will a 2G intercom or gate opener stop working when 2G networks are switched off?
Yes — any intercom or gate controller that only supports 2G/GSM signaling loses service once a mobile operator retires 2G in that country. Du-Pol's VoLTE (4G) and WiFi-only models are unaffected.
What's the difference between UP200 VoLTE M2 and UP200 VoLTE RD M2?
The M2 supports 1 or 2 pushbuttons for a shared or multi-apartment entrance. The RD M2 is the single-button version built for one entrance.
Can a gate opener run without a SIM card or mobile contract?
Yes. DP Door-I and DP Door 300 connect over WiFi only. DP Door W4G adds 4G LTE as a second path alongside WiFi.
