Signaling and control via mobile App – Security & protection

Mobile application-based communicators with advanced network communication.

App-based communicators let installers and end users arm, disarm, monitor, or switch a connected device remotely from a smartphone over WiFi or 4G LTE, with push notifications sent the moment a status changes. Du-Pol's dedicated app-first devices cover temperature monitoring (THERMOSTAR W4G), a passive add-on for existing alarm panels (VAMPIRE WIFI), and general-purpose input/output control (UNIO4 W4G, SINGULAR WIFI) — alongside alarm communicators and gate controllers from other categories that share the same app.

What is an app-based communicator?

It's a WiFi or 4G-connected device that pushes real-time status and alerts to a smartphone app instead of, or alongside, a monitoring station — letting installers configure it remotely and end users check or control it themselves without a separate keypad or panel visit.

Which device adds app control to an alarm panel without rewiring it?

VAMPIRE WIFI taps the panel's existing landline port passively — impedance stays above 10 megohms, so the panel's normal connection to the monitoring station is untouched — while adding app-based arm/disarm and push alerts on top.

Which app device works without any mobile network at all?

  • SINGULAR WIFI — WiFi only, no SIM card, connection self-checked every 30 seconds.
  • UNIO4 W4G — WiFi + 4G LTE together, so a WiFi drop doesn't mean a lost alert.

Can app-based devices also report to a monitoring station?

Most of Du-Pol's app-based range does both at once — SuperLink 4G, SINGULAR W4G, and SINGULAR WIFI report to up to two independent SIA DC-09 monitoring receivers while also pushing notifications to the app, so a distributor doesn't have to choose between professional monitoring and self-monitoring for a customer.

FAQ

Does an app-based communicator replace monitoring-station reporting?
Not necessarily — SuperLink 4G, SINGULAR W4G, and SINGULAR WIFI do both: SIA DC-09 reporting to up to two receivers, plus app push notifications, from the same unit.

Can I add app control to an alarm panel that's already professionally monitored?
Yes — VAMPIRE WIFI taps the panel's existing signal path passively, so app control can be added without touching the monitoring contract or rewiring the panel.

What happens if the WiFi connection drops on an app-based device?
UNIO4 W4G fails over to 4G LTE automatically. SINGULAR WIFI (WiFi-only) checks its own connection every 30 seconds and alerts users if the link drops.
